Revoking

Print E-mail

When revoked the PostCertificate is declared invalid and is therefore blocked for all applications. This is obligatory in the event of loss or theft. You have three types of revocation available:

Reader_only

Online revocation with a valid certificate

For this type of revocation you need to be in possession of the chip with the valid PostCertificates which you want to revoke. Make sure that you have connected the USB reader or the SwissStick with the correct chip on the computer before you click on "Revoke".

For this type of revocation you need to be in possession of the corresponding password. You were sent this on a sealed paper (password page) when you ordered the PostCertificate.

offline_revozierung

Offline revocation

For this type of revocation you need this form. (Unfortunately the form is only available in German, French and Italian at the moment). Send the fully filled out form signed by hand with the required enclosures to the following address:

The Swiss Post

PO Box 2634

Revocation via e-mail is not possible.

Please note: Only an online revocation will lead to a quick effect. With an offline revocation you assume the entire responsibility for the delay in revocation arising from sending and any longer processing times which may be necessary. This also includes in particular if identification documents are incomplete or of insufficient quality, thus making it necessary for us to carry out investigations or enquiries. For this reason offline revocation can be considered appropriate only in exceptional cases.
